Enlisted and War Thunder, side by side

Two free games from the same publisher, constantly mistaken for one another. One puts you on foot with a squad of soldiers; the other never lets you out of a vehicle. Here is what each actually is.

How to read these guides. Every figure here carries the date we checked it and traces to a named source on the sources page. Where no published figure or independent measurement exists, we say so at the foot of the guide instead of filling the gap with a plausible number.

Two panels. Enlisted at 10 versus 10 human players, each commanding an AI squad of 3 to 9 soldiers. War Thunder at 16 versus 16 human players with no AI in the match.

How this site pays for itself

Two buttons on this site are paid partner links. Everything else — every internal link, every heading in the two guides — is not. We are paid a commission by the myLead affiliate network if you open a partner link and then register with the game. Both games are free, so registering costs you nothing.

Nobody pays us to change what the guides say, and we publish no ranking or verdict between the two games, because we are paid on both. Full disclosure.

Flow diagram: a visitor reads a CrestHub page, clicks to a redirect page on the same domain, is handed to the myLead affiliate network, and arrives at the official enlisted.net or warthunder.com page. A dashed arrow marks the commission returning to CrestHub only if the visitor registers.

Questions we get asked

Are Enlisted and War Thunder free?

Both are free to download and play. Both also sell premium vehicles, premium account time and cosmetics with real money. Neither requires a payment to start.

Are these two games made by the same company?

Not quite. War Thunder is developed and published by Gaijin Entertainment. Enlisted is developed by Darkflow Software and published by Gaijin Entertainment.

Do the buttons on this site cost me anything?

No. They are paid partner links. If you open one and then register, the myLead affiliate network may pay us a commission. The price you pay is unchanged, and both games are free to begin with.

Does this site track me?
